How to link adwords data w/ specific leads

Is there a way to connect the adwords api to pull realtime information to store in a database in order to track which ads & keywords led to a sale. Ideally this is what I would want to see happen:

  1. User clicks an adword ad and arrives on the landing page
  2. User fills out the form and lands on the confirmation page at which time their conversion is tracked with adwords (this is how everything is set up now)
  3. When this user’s info is stored in our database I would like to make a call to adwords api to pull the data from this last conversion to store in our database. I thought maybe they could be matched with an ipaddress.

Is this possible?

I don’t understand why you need to call the AdWords API in step 3. The user has already filled in your form, so you already have the oppportunity to capture whatever information you need.

If it’s just the IP address you’re missing, you don’t need AdWords to tell you that. The vistior is already at your site, and the IP address is therefore available to you.

If I’ve misunderstood your question, my apologies. Perhaps you could clarify it.

For me it’s important to know which ad, and what keyword led to specific sales. The form they are filling out has many options and I would like to know which keywords, and which ads were responsible for each specific conversion that occurs on the site. For example, I don’t just want to know that x amount of people clicked my ad using a specific keyword and then y% of them converted. I want to be able to look at each conversion and say this person, from this location, came in from this ad and this keyword, and he made these choices in the form. So in short I want the conversion info attached to each record.

Does that make more sense?
