How to increase website Google page rank by using SEO

Welcome to the forums, @cloudinfo.

Submit to more do-follow sites with 5 to 7 page rank
PageRank is calculated per page, not per site. So a site may have a high PR on it’s home page, and very low PR elsewhere.
generate quality links via guest blogging , Forums , social bookmarking
As already mentioned. links which you can easily place yourself in this way are regarded as of little worth by search engines. Additionally, these types of user-submitted link will be marked nofollow by reputable sites, in accordance with Google’s guidelines.
You can generate even more no-follow no problem with your site reaching top in google but to boost your rank try to submit do-follow also.
The question in the topic is about increasing PageRank. Nofollow links will be of no benefit there.

@starkut, @Jacobwately - welcome to the forums.

We’re delighted to see you joining in, but please take the time to read a topic before replying. We have already explained several times over in this thread why social media, forum posting etc. will not help to increase PageRank.

Now, if you have a Google source to back up your claims and refute what has already been said, that’s different; we’d be interested to see it. But merely repeating previous suggestions with no added value is of little help and just makes the thread repetitive and confusing.

To all posters: This thread has become somewhat repetitive. Before posting, please check that your point has not been made already. If it has, please use the “like” (heart) button on that post, rather than posting again. Posts which add nothing new may be removed as “fluff”.

Lol, sorry this is going to be off topic, but TechnoBear, you make me laugh. I just scrolled through, and had a knee jerk reaction to some of the comments wanting to say “wait a minute, that isn’t right!” And usually directly after you already responded and said exactly what I was thinking.

Google has stopped the increased page rank of a website. Also, Google announced officially that they won’t be considered page rank now.

No, Google has only stopped giving public updates.

Do you have a Google source for that? Because the last I read from Google, they still use PR as one of the many factors they take into account in ranking a site in SERPs.

Do not worry about PR as google suggested. just keep providing useful content and leave rest up to google.
once you web page gets popular and huge visitors then google might increase PR.

Nice tips but i am trying all these tips but still i am not getting page rank. i followed all the methods for my blog but still waiting for its rank in google.

You obviously didn’t read the thread carefully enough.

Also

If you want to get your keyword ranking then you should done your on page first and after few days should start off page SEO. Always try to find out relevant pages with domain authority and alexa. These links will help you to get ranked well.

Be active with forums and continue publish quality posts.

How will that increase Page Rank?
Most forums, including this one, mark links in posts as nofollow so no Page Rank is passed.

Actually, there is no need to worry about Page Rank. If you continously publishing quality posts at your site and buy some dofollow links, your site will be more poular and more preferred by search engines.

Search engines certainly don’t like you “buying” links.
They are likely to penalise you for doing so.

Actually, I mean you can publish sponsored/guest posts on related websites. External links are very important for increasing site traffic and page rank.

No. As @SamA74 says, your site is likely to be penalised by search engines.

Same goes for this approach.

The following are examples of link schemes which can negatively impact a site’s ranking in search results:

 • Buying or selling links that pass PageRank. This includes exchanging money for links, or posts that contain links; exchanging goods or services for links; or sending someone a “free” product in exchange for them writing about it and including a link

I strongly recommend you to read that entire article.

(Other search engines take similar views, but the original question here is specifically about Google.)
