I’m just looking for the ones attributed to the uploaded/emailed message.

You can do that too, just put the .htaccess
file in the uploads/
directory. That will limit the scope to the uploads/
directory only, and all other mp4 files will be unaffected.

Thank you. That appears to work successfully, when the email is received and the path/link is selected, the file downloads. Much appreciated.
Now, how can I not show the whole path/link, but still keep the ability to click it to download the file?
