How to get quality traffic and which process

I recently make a site which is about Question & Answer, it is based on wp Q/A script. site is almost complete. I submit it in many search engines and much more but still there isn’t any traffic which i was expecting from. please can anyone tell me Good and professional way or process to get free and quality traffic??

Your site is in fact present in all the major search engines, but it’s not ranking very highly. One reason for that might be that there is simply not enough content yet to satisfy typical searchers.

The only one sure-fire way to get traffic is to provide lots of original, interesting content that people will want to read. Your site hasn’t go that - at least, not yet. The answer pages contain very little useful information, and what information there is seems to be very fragmented (lots of widely different topics mixed together). The fact that many of the questions and answers have spelling mistakes and poor grammar doesn’t help (I appreciate that’s not in your control).

I’ve never tried to get a site like this off the ground so I’m no expert, but… I can imagine a site like this would be hard to get going. Here’s what I reckon…

Firstly you need an initial stream of people who are asking questions. Perhaps there’s a local college where you can persuade the friendly professors that you are a knowledgeable guy running a serious website and you’re offering to answer his students questions for free. I’m sure there’s loads of ways of getting initial visitors but the point is that you won’t be getting them from search engines… not yet anyway…

A labour intensive way of getting initial questions would be surf similar forums and find the 1000 most asked questions and then create 1000 accounts on your own site and Q and A them all. But that doesn’t sound like much fun. Either way, you need a core of questions to start off with.

You then need your core of moderators who have all the knowledge required to answer all the questions that are put to it. If I were you, I’d to divide up the topics you want to cater for into, for example: servers, graphics, programming, etc… and then assign a moderator to each area as the resident specialist. I think it’s important to have a team of people, at least 5/6 (either that or make that number of accounts and divide btw who you do have), otherwise it will look like a one-man band. I tend to check usernames of who has made the last posts when I visit a forum or similar, they’re usually listed like your ‘asked by’. If it’s all the same user name then I think it’s a not very much used site and abandon.

The answers given need to be really good quality. And although you have less control over them, it helps if the questions are well asked too. This is the most important point. This is your content and this is how you will be rated by search engines. It needs to be top quality.

Once you have these in place then google will start paying more attention to you. You’ll eventually get more visitors which means more Qs and As which meant more content which means more visitors.

Like I say, never done it before but that’s what I’d do.

I’ve a site under construction which I’m looking reviews for, if i’ve helped at all would you mind having a look and giving an opinion? http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?818839-Irish-Gift-website-redesign-reviews-wanted

I think Social Media Optimization would be the best way to promote…This is the place where you can engage the people and redirect them to your website. You xcan create the group there and can post the interesting questions there that will help you to engage them … Why people will visit your website, you need to lure the people through interesting questionnaire… Forum website can also helpful to redirect the visitors on your website… All the Best

You need to work on SEO from the beginning…Only Se submission will not work and also no need to do it bcz almost SE will find you automatically.
First you have to work on on page, webmaster tool and submit XML sitemap also to find Google all your site pages, then start with off page like link building … directory submission , forum discussion, blog commenting etc…And also do not forget to update your site with fresh Q/A frequently… BCZ SE bots are i n love with fresh and rich content sites… All the best…

I also favor topatrank, as social media optimization really work to get high traffic for your site and for this you can use so many social networking site for ex. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Stumbleupon, Tumbir, Digg, Delicious, Myspace and many more… here you can join various group relating to your business and can target them. Besides these you have to participate in all activities and always being active and creative in front of your target audience.

you wil have to apply SEO and SMO strategy. Getting back links from high PR would give you higher traffic. to earn back links you have to apply off page optimization. there are many techniques by which you can earn back links like article submission, directory submission, social bookmarking, forum, blog comments. press release, web 2.0 etc. its upto you how good you can utilize given option. if you gets back links from sites like .edu or .org would help you get attract traffic more faster.

I think Link Building would be the best way to promote your website.one more thing is you can join various group relating to your business.Forum website can also helpful to redirect the visitors on your website…Gud Luck.

Mike pretty much answered your question here. You should write share-worthy content that people would like to read and spread across their network. It’s one of the reasons why people keep coming back to a good site. Another thing you can do is to check for some more tips on the SEO threads in this forums. Perhaps they can help you even more.

How old is your domain age? if If it is new, give it sometime. You should also do SEO for your site.

Your website has an interesting concept. Why don’t you share it on the following social media marketing websites:

Stumble, Digg, Twitter, Facebook, Traffup, Ycombinator, Hubpages, Squidoo, Zimbio, Delicious, Reddit etc.

And in addition to this, you must also write original, and useful, content about your website. May be, create a blog section - to interact with your users, and to get a lot of content for better indexing.

There are different ways of getting traffic to your blog, there are both ethical and unethical ways. When we talk about unethical ways, they are some kind of foolish/stupid traffic techniques that can never benefit you, some examples are autosurf and traffic exchange while quality traffic is the type of traffic that converts, it is not about faking, but it provides real people who are really interested in what you have to offer.

Quality traffic means you are getting exactly those visitors who are searching for such website what you own, I mean traffic from search engine. For getting traffic from search engine you need to optimize your website for the potential key words for what your website is meant. It is only way to get free and quality traffic.

Hello,
This Nivaas007, The solution for Traffic is daily submit with unique content in article submission, once your article will be indexed, take a link for that article and submit to top Social Bookmark sites, create a RSS Feed for the article link and submit for those RSS directories, this is link process for daily then you will get huge traffic for your site.

You should start SMO on social networking sites as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, MySpace and others. Promote aggressively on these, you will start getting traffic very soon,

I think this thread has run it’s course, and the OP hasn’t even been interested enough to return to it, so THREAD CLOSED.
