How To For Targeted Traffic

Remember - The general public on the net when searching is looking for information, or an answer to a problem. So the (How To) at the beginning of your title and an answer to there problem will get your targeted traffic.

Example: I want to Play A Guitar, so I go to search and type in the search box (How to Play A Guitar), now as a expert marketer in the Guitar industry I write a article or blog on (How to Play A Guitar) with adsense adds and guitar information, with affiliate information or products in my page.

Just a crazy example and really kinda basic, but food for thought

But I believe that one must also do keyword research properly to find low competitive keywords so that you can get ranked higher in Google.

Keywords are definitely a huge part in building a good quality website. It doesn’t matter how great the site is if nobody knows it is even there, right?

To add to this: use google adwords keyword tool. It is free and can give you a good indication which keywords will work. Write many articles targeting these keywords and create some youtube videos with these keywords. Build a few links towards them and traffic will flow in.

Yes i agree with you that google hits the title tag first.

Results 1 - 10 of about 110,000,000 for How to Play A Guitar

Results 1 - 10 of about 15,600,000 for Guitar lessons

Targeting a sentence with “how to” can also bring a lot
more competition than I want, but at least you’re thinking.

Agreed, but in these cases , you may lost the chance to add more keywords in Title, as these titles like “How to Play Guitar” can be a little lengthy,

I agree. Keyword plays the major role. I think having a keyword in research is good. In this way, we get traffic through keyword. It’s better to shorten the title.
