I am expecting some easy to follow advice. I run a blog network hosted with WordPress MultiSite. It is a new site has around 100 users. I was trying to promote my site viral and entice my users to share the site in the social media sites and forums. If they share the site anywhere in the internet I give them extra 10mb storage space. However what I thought that is not working. So far only 1% people have shared the link. All the users are busy to test my new site and using it for the SEO purpose. In my opinion the offer I made is enough tempting. I don’t understand what I am missing to make the promotion viral.
Here’s my opinion: Your offer may be enticing enough, however the way you put across your message should also sound “interesting and exciting”. Use words that can spark and catch your users attention, that’s really important.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate that you replied me. Could you please tell what type of words or sentence are catchy for this type of site?
I will definitely try the site you mentioned.
No problem. But first could you elaborate some information about your site?
Sent you the link in PM. Please check.
It’s hard to tell exactly what words to be used, but I suggest you to start with a question. How about this “Do you want an extra 10mb storage space? You can have it in just one click!”
There’s a balance to be had between incentive and perception of how useful your service is to the general social media public. If users don’t feel the service is generally worth promoting, or promoting it would annoy their audience or have a negative effect on their reputation, then the incentive would have to be substantial. I can’t think of any service offhand where 10mb would make a major difference. Dropbox offer 500mb per affiliate signed up, and even though it’s a useful, popular and well known product, most regular social media participants I know would frown on posting dropbox sign up links as that action is considered passée now.
Did you here about a sentence which is using in social media marketing pur pose. That says " Call to action" You should said them directly with encouraging word . A call to action, or CTA, is a banner, button, or some type of graphic or text on a website meant to prompt a user to click it and continue down a conversion funnel.
