I would like to know how to create the drawing attached in photoshop, specifically the banner with rugged texture and torn edges. Any links to a good tutorial appreciated

If you are looking for how to do the font cutout effect try searching for CS4 font effect.

The sample looks like it was done with a felt marker and scanned in. Could have been done on a drawing tablet also. Enlarge it to 500% and above and see the texture.

My guess is that he probably wants to achieve that same effect using photoshop so it’s print ready.
