How to Cancel 1and1 Subscription?

Hi,

I have registered a domain and bought hosting with 1and1 last year for 60$/year. They have my paypal id and deduct the fee. How can I cancel the subscription as I have no luck with this domain and hosting?

Please help.

Thanks

You will have to cancel the billing agreement in your paypal account.

You MUST contact 1&1 to cancel your account. This is a legal requirement. Protect your PayPal account by contacting them as BP said.

It would be a better option to contact the company directly. Ask them to cancel your account and your subscription should be canceled from your Paypal account.

You should cancel the subscription through your PayPal account Go to “My Account” click on -> History -> Basic Search, and show “Subscriptions” for Specific Subscription Creation “Within the last Year” and Click Cancel Subscription.

You do not need to contact them. You can cancel the domain registration orders here.

Carefully, select the desired actions to take for your domain. If you have canceled all packages, you can then cancel the payment agreement.

If I were you I would contact them in any case to make sure. Just in case

You should cancel the subscription through your PayPal account Go to “My Account” click on -> History -> Basic Search, and show “Subscriptions” for Specific Subscription Creation “Within the last Year” and Click Cancel Subscription.
That is not proper canceling procedure. Do you like it when customers just stop paying you? Why advise the OP to do such?

It is a good thing to do after formally canceling services with the provider

This is so that you don’t accidentally pay them even after canceling.

The cancellation procedure at cancel.1and1.com is highly stable. If you see, your package/domain listed as canceled/no renew, that means they have been canceled and will no longer be billed.

After cancellation of service following the steps if the hosting company is still deducting the payment, I think that is only right method to stop payment.

To that I can definitely agree, but it was not apparent to me that the OP has already followed proper cancellation procedures. 1and1 is actually rather known for being very strict when it comes to this stuff.

I would add that in order to cancel your subscription at 1and 1 you need to wipe all traces of your files from the server. They will not cancel unless that is done first - they will keep charging. Found that out first hand.
