How much for a CSS template?

Hi guys,

Was wondering how much should I be paying for a new CSS template for a media website. I basically have everything on paper, colors used, layout .etc I just need some one with some photoshop skills to product a polished template for me.

I want something new and more current.

How much should I be paying?

Hi welcome to Sitepoint. I think you can make it as cheap or expensive as you want. You can find designers for 100+ an hour :slight_smile: and you have them doing it for nearly nothing. But you say

You did the other website as well isn’t it. If you have all your plans in play, you might as well do it your self

Yea, but I think my design looks like crap. I’m rather pay someone who can design it more than just black, gray, and white hues.

I understand your point but I said so since you contradicted your self by saying “some one with photoshop skills”. To me that could be anyone with some skills indeed. In that case I said you could do it your self because I don’t see what anyone with a bit of Photoshop understanding can add to your project.

Anyway I think you could start by asking some prices from local designers and see who can add the required expertise to your project you are looking for.

Wasn’t there a template forum on here somewhere. I remember seeing it about a year ago.

I think you need someone who can convert your idea to a design(mock) and later to a HTML form.

I think for that you can contact a web designer and ask him to work on it.

As you are really looking for a quote I think you should try the looking to hire forum in the marketplace section of Sitepoint. There is a small charge but it will be worth your while and then you can choose the best quote.

You will need to be more specific in what you want to get accurate costings. Psds can vary in price from £100 - £1000 depending on the work involved.

It’s too hard for us to give a guessetimate as it all depends on what’s involved and what the work entails. If you just want the design tweaked then you may be looking at charge per hour but these sorts of questions are similar to “how long is piece of string?”.:slight_smile:
