I have read many post of meta keyword and keyword phrase. It is very important for a Website/ blog. But i can not understand how many keywords and phrases i will use in my meta Keyword? Can any one suggest me!
I would not worry about the meta keywords or spend too much time on them. Google no longer uses it, and Bing only uses it slightly.
In fact, Bing has stated that if you abuse it, it can actually hurt you and Bing even uses it as a potential spam signal.

Actually i was worried about Meta keyword. Someone said about meta keyword is very important for SEO. Besides i have read many about this topic. Do you know from when Google are not count meta keyword?
well it is good to have it but not that important that you start worrying about it instead you can use some plugin of SEO if you are on wordpress.
I am not sure of exactly when Google stopped using it, but I think it has been a few years.

Google stopped using Meta Keywords a few years ago, but only confirmed it recently. To be honest all Meta Keywords does is show your competitors exactly what keywords you’re hoping to optimise for 
The effort to insert keyword tag is minor.
Some search engine bot still using meta keywords as a metric, perhaps we give up that and focus on giant search.
I think google does not use the keyword meta tag, so it does not matter what you put in there it’s maybe not affect your rankings.

Fine,There you can use only 12-15 keywords as good on-page optimization practice. make sure it’s better if you are targeting only 3 keywords out of them.
As meta Tags there is limit for words so that you can use the keywords accordingly…Maximum 3 keywords you can use in single Meta title.
As has already been explained in this thread, Google does not use the meta keywords tag at all.

Don’t over-do it (under 10 is good) . Focus more on good content and an organized structure. The most important thing is to understand your target market and what they could possibly search for to find what you’re offering.
I have a keywords meta tag, it came built in with my website package and although I know that it isn’t used by Google I just left it there. It contains 30 keywords, which I chose and are all in use on my home page. I am not expecting to rank well for them all, but I use them all for anchor text as I want a varied backlink profile and they are part of my content.
I haven’t been penalized by Bing, Google or anyone else ( I have 11 keywords on page one of Google, 7 of them are high competition).
I don’t know where all these “rules” come from regarding specific numbers to be used that have been given by others in this thread, but in my own experience they are meaningless.
Though google have stopped giving importance to the meta keywords tag we must still use it.As far as the number of keywords is concerned, I usually put 5-6 keywords.Even people say that meta description is also not that much important but people still use it as no one knows exactly how google algorithm works.
Well we do know that Google doesn’t use the meta keyword tag and you can verify this by looking at the list of tags they do look at here:

So in terms of Google, why must we still use it?
