Hi, can I ask about the notification balloon like the sitepoint did.,when there is new replied post or message it will count how many message are. When you click the notification the counter will gone or clears it and if there is new message again it will reset the counter to count to 1 and so on.I am confuse how can I achieve like this notification alerts.

How far along are you so far? There is a lot to it.
eg… you need advanced control of the server.
i.e. run database scans every 30 seconds
Why are you keeping a counter? Simply query the number of unread messages and show that.
Okay so I will set a flag on the column if ever I read those messages ? so that I can I determine the unread messages ?
