How do I make a div (overflow:auto) tabbable in IE?

Hi I have a div with long text content which I want to ensure only has a fixed height. With this code I give the div a vertical scroll bar:

#material-notes
{
height: 400px;
overflow: auto;
}

However in IE i find that i cannot tab to this div and use the scroll bar like Firefox - is there a quick way to fix this without needing a tabindex on the div?

Thanks

Hi,

You may need to clarify what you mean as you can’t tab to divs anyway. You can only tab to elements that receive focus such as anchors and form elements.

Do you have a link to the problem?

Its okay I managed to solve it with some jquery

<script type="text/javascript">
  $('a.view').blur(function(){
	 $('#material-notes').focus()

  });
</script>

It sets a focus on the div when the previous link is tabbed from so that a user can scroll using the keyboard in IE.
