Hi, I have made a web app. It serves information like pincode details, hospitals, blood bank details only for India.
People don’t need to visit such website every day. So what are some of the ways to generate traffic for a website like mine ?

Just for starters I would recommend social media websites such as facebook, instagram, and Linkedin as it is a business type of website. Finding ways to rank in SEO is an important long term strategy as well. Classified ads, paid advertising are examples as well.
If you are serious about this as a long term business, start building a brand on these areas, instagram might not be as targeted for your niche, but keep in mind there are social sites DESIGNED for technology.
Also treat it as any other online marketer would, find the websites and forums targeted to your niche which seems to be pretty in demand, as well as using advertising methods to reach the Hospitals and targeted institutions, These are just some ideas to help.

If you are new to SEO, I would recommend that you read Google’s “Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide”, which will help you check that you’ve done all the necessary tasks correctly.

If you want to go for SEO you have to either hire an SEO expert who can make relevant keyword research based on your web app and works on it get higher ranking on search engines to drive traffic. Which is ofcourse a long term process.
If you want quick results you can go for paid marketing over different channels like Google Adwords, Facebook or any other platform, it certainly needs some investment from you.
The other method to get the traffic is through social media, You have to promote your app on social media so that people can view it and use your app.

Definately, its possible that you can do the SEO yourself, But you have to spend a lot of time for that. I don’t think as a Business owner you have that much of time to spend for leaning and implementing SEO. Apart from that there are several things to do for a business owner. So, The best option is to hire a Consultant so that you can get your job done easily.
