That may be an important part of SEO [good luck ranking or getting decent links without content] but SEO is only one marketing tactic and unlikely to be a source of huge traffic in any reasonable amount of time vs a variety of other tactics. Those that play the huge traffic game invest considerably in both resources and time to get there…

Where do you get that number from? I’m not saying it’s not realistic, just intrigued as to how you’ve arrived there. Is that based on traffic at similar sites? Is it based on traffic on other sites you’ve run?

If the sole point of getting people to your site is so that they’ll click on ads, you’re probably going to struggle to achieve anything. You need to give people a reason to come to your site and to engage with it. If you’re providing content but not actually selling anything, you need to focus on why anyone would come to your site, and what’s in it for them. Sure, you might hope that while they’re on your site, they’ll click on an ad every now and then, but if that’s all you’re trying to do, it’s going to look painfully obvious to anyone who lands on your site that you’re not actually bothered about providing them with anything useful.
(I’m not saying that that is what you’re trying to do. You might have a really great idea for a site … but if you have, you’ve not communicated it here! Think about the site you’re building. If you were just some random person surfing the internet (in your target audience, of course), would you want to read that site?)
It depends a lot on what kind of audience you’re targeting as to what technique is going to work best. Some sites can thrive on ‘viral’ marketing (like social networking), but others are aimed at people who probably aren’t using those tools. Some sites are aimed at a ‘serious’ segment, so need to target industry sites and articles. Some sites are aimed at casual surfers, not necessarily trying to build a community, and would probably be best concentrating their efforts in improving search rankings.
Become active on social networking sites and create a huge list of friends that are interested in the things you are promoting. Once you have quality content up, tweet it or link it on facebook and you should get an insane amount of traffic.
Getting a huge traffic in a limited time is impossible. It takes hard work to get a high quality traffic. One can get a good back link from high page rank sites “authority sites”. Having a back link from a site with PR 5 or higher is a hundred times better than a site with PR 1.
I got the point. Many many thanks for wishing me and for your words it’s few but very deep.
To get huge traffic to your website do link building. Link building brings traffic to your website and improves its visibility in search engine.
Link building techniques:
Social bookmarking
Directory submission
Forum posting
Link wheel
Article submission
Blog posting and commenting
Hi There,
It is all about backlinks.
Content on your website is good, but it is all about gaining links from authority websites (in your niche).
Linkbuilding is what SEO is all about (quality over quantity).

#1. Keyword research is paramount. You need to know how often certain keywords are searched and how much competition goes along with the keyword. You need to choose wisely which keywords to optimize for.
#2. Social media can bring in HUGE amounts of visitors. I have been able to drive 100k+ visitors in 1 day to one of my websites using Digg combined with a hilarious cartoon. If you have good content, you can drive great traffic on social media (digg, reddit, twitter, facebook, stumbleupon)
Write interesting content. You want people to remember your blog, maybe even bookmark it. Build backlinks. Have patience. I don’t think there is a magic solution.
If you targetted on a huge traffic keywords then you can get traffic by using some no-follow sites.
Submission of blogs , articles and videos with unique and eye catching phrases and informative content would help to attract more visitors and in turn generate traffic and market the business.
