I am making a website, almost finish. I will use google adsense ads on my website. I learning SEO and it’s seems to me it is so hard to get good traffic. I would like to get huge traffic. Kindly suggest me how i will be able to get huge traffic.
The best way to get traffic on your website is social networking. If you do social networking(Facebook, Twitter, Digg) for your website then you will get huge traffic on your website. Promote your website on social networking website then your website will famous and you will get good revenue from your website. Articles and Blog are also another way to get high traffic on your website.
Building a website is just like starting a new business [in most cases it is starting one] and while you may not have a ton of capital, if you want it to really take off you have be willing to seriously invest.
This starts with a clear plan that matches against real goals.
You must have a target identified both in the numbers you want to hit and who. There is no such thing as targeting everyone as you are always targeting them for something which naturally means there is selection. Even Facebook and Google have targets but while we think of them as all inclusive, both got to where they are today because of much more focused approaches [Facebook success due in great part because of their college to college roll-out methodology].
SEO, Articles/ Blogging, Directories, these are all tactics to build a traffic foundation but the way they are described in most topics here, they are passive – you are relying on a rank to have people search for a term and then click you. It’s going to bring traffic; with time it can bring a lot of traffic but it’s not going to be “huge” in the short term.
Thankfully we live in an increasingly viral world and that’s where you see most of the “big” results. Whether it’s a video that goes off the charts or a casual game everyone raves about the question is direct: what are you offering that’s compelling enough for people to want to share it and bring traffic to you.
Perhaps most missed is the correlation between getting traffic and doing something with it.
If you head over to the Huffington Post or College Humor sites they seem like standard content destinations but in truth both put a ton of time into thinking about how to do far more with a user than just show them a post or two. They are looking to build membership, sharing and get the user engaged to the point where they return again and again.
This means optimizing their entire site to draw people into a very subtle funnel… if you spend all your time getting traffic without thinking about keeping it around or getting it back, you’re wasting efforts.
My suggestion is that everyone struggling with this question stops thinking about what’s done in general and steps back to think about what their site really offers, who would ideally go there [primary target] and what will get them hooked. Back in to the tactics that support the answers to those questions and, thanks to the great flexibility, give it a try and see how it works.
Completely agree with Ted S. SEO not an overnight process and need time and lots of efforts. Now the job of SEO is become very difficult.

Apart from the traditional methods such as blog commenting, article submission, social networking and the likes what other methods are effective nowadays
I’ve been reading a lot of stuff and the information I’m getting is too overwhelming
As much as possible, I don’t want to shell out money the promotion process because my pocket is not that deep at the moment
I already have a website and a blog and I want visitors that I can do business with in the future
I am not sure if I’m allowed to put the URL of my site and blog for you to take a look at and see what needs to be done on the to gain more daily traffic

Anyone can build a website or blog thats the easy bit but as you are finding out getting visitors to a site is a differant ball game,its not easy by any means and is a ongoing job building quality backlinks and content.The only way to get instant traffic is by using adwords and that can be very expensive and this also depends how deep your pocket is,this is the main reason only the big companies use adwords and smaller setups have to do all the SEO for them selves.
If you are in a unique niche it can be alot easier to get high quality traffic to your site but if you are in a sector with many BIG players it sometimes takes for ever to build up good traffic.

That’s a lofty question without much detail…
First off, what do you consider huge? 1 million uniques a day? 1,000? The goal matters.
Second, what kind of traffic do you want? Consumers interested in casual gaming? Businesses interested in hiring developers? The niche matters.
Third, what sort of resources do you have to get the traffic? Do you have capital to invest? Time to spend? Expertise to create content?
Fourth, what do you expect this traffic to do? Become a member? Click ads? Buy something?
A few blog posts, a little seo and a video or two will not get you anywhere near huge, at least not as I define the word, so if that really is your goal let’s understand a little more about it first as this will not be an overnight process.
For getting huge traffic to own site one can submit blogs , articles and videos about our business on different sites and in own site. And provide unique and meaningful information to all visitors and by conversation we can attract them more and more for getting more traffic.
A viral online campaign is usually the best solution for a website or webpage to gain instant traffic boost. It can be a very interesting news related to your niche, a promo or a video viral.
You can make a plan for site seo on page off, you can make some presentation for that and submit some popular ppt search engine site like slideword, slideshare etc. make some video for that and submit youtube and other channel it can help to increase your website traffic.
If you want quick traffic then sponsored advertising but for long term you need to create online branding and need to generate a trust factor across the web. One more thing retention of your old users is another key for success. All the best.

(welcome to internet) Start submitting/posting your site right away (to OK sites). Related of your service, look and see, there are probably many listings.(forums, social profiles, directories, articles). Look around who lists your kind of services (most useful). Maybe use banner exchanges etc.

I can’t say what is useful content that you should write, it’s all in people eyes. Be a writer don’t over create.
I can guarantee you stable huge traffic in some year after you have done the above things.
First check for your niche keywords at what position they are.Then improve the rankings by doing different linkbuilding techniques.Get more quality back links for your site.SMO is the best for getting more traffic.
If you want traffic with higher CTR on Adsense, dig into SEO. Peoples coming from search engines usually click more on ads than other traffic channels.
For SEO, you’ll have to do only single thing. Write a lot of Quality content.
Publish 80% of them at your website and use 20% for link building by Guest Posting at authority blogs (Highly recommended), Article directories (Recommended) or other places.
Every quality article (targeted to a specific keyword and not keyword stuffed) will help you to build your reputation and thus you’ll get more search traffic.
Recent algorithmic changes also motivates for Social media presence. So also add Twitter, Google+, FB likes. 
To make this successful, you will first need to work on improving the network which is a very time taking and difficult job. In the beginning you can also ask your friends to vote your submissions, retweet them in their network on Twitter and LIKE the submissions on facebook.
I would agree that huge traffic does not come overnight. It is a process and like anything else if you want huge traffic then it could require a huge amount of time and/or a huge amount of money.
BTW I would like to say something to all of you that advice Social networking like good way to get visitors. This is the possible only if you have something to offer to your visitors. If site is BS they will go away immediately and never come back. So before anything in relation with marketing make some good content or try to have good service that you promote on the web. I am getting feeling that people think that marketing can sell anything. That is simply not true. Quality always wins at the end.
If your content is good they will come. Good content is the only way if you want them to click on adsense.
I did try social networking and have been active in it for quite some time now however I am not getting the result as of yet
