Help for SEO

Hi friends.

I am in trouble, not exactly trouble but not satisfied with my current job and can’t left my job in this company.

I have practical knowledge about SEO ON-page and Off-page and i have proved that by getting good rank on Google. but I have no theoretical knowledge about this. Sometimes I think I don’t have knowledge about SEO and i am just a link builder.

My profile is a Sn. link builder on this company and I want to become SEO and what should i do for this. they don’t learn me and they don’t want me to do another task instead of doing directory submission, articles submission and social bookmarking, forum posting and blogging. That"s all…

Please help me, how to increase my knowledge and whenever i went for SEO interviews they rejected me because of know theoretical knowledge. Please Help if you can :frowning:

Search some seo dictionary and understand basics.

If you do every offpage activity know why you are doing that

Example consider you are doing directory submission

Then Know What is directory ? what is the advantage of directory submission ? Analysis your rankings after doing directory submission.

Just type “advantage of directory submission” you will get information. Same way do for all activities.

Most important thing is discuss and share your knowledge with others.Keep participating in SEO Forums.

Know How Search Engines Works ,Guidelines etc

Thanks for your reply but friend i am talking about On-page and i know why i should be done.

I try to get knowledge from forum and blogs. but there must be someone who can guide me?

Participate in forum discussions regularly.It definitely boost your SEO knowledge. Remember practical knowledge is much more important than theoretical one.So don’t worry, theoretical knowledge can be gained through any tutorials which are easily available on net.I prefer you to go for Google webmaster guide.

If not, just read it. One will get to know lot of things.

If your concepts of On-page SEO are good then it would be easy to get a job.

Hi, Link building is also a great task to perform for a website. You just need to get more in to deep of SEO by downloading an Ebook from Google so you can perform well and it can help you to increase your knowledge as well.

I’d advise that you read the beginners guide to SEO from SEOmoz, great read with lots of useful information.
