Happy New Year!

Site Point is based in Australia, so it’s already 2015 over there. 12 hours to go here on the US East Coast. Warm wishes and happy new year to everyone.

Just seven hours to go here in Scotland.

<strong>Happy New Year!</strong>

Did NOT know SP was in Aussieland. How’s the future looking, time travelers of Oz?

Happy New Year to everyone!!! I’m looking forward to a GREAT 2015.

V/r,

Looking forward to 2015! It will be a good one.

Blwyddyn newydd hapus! (Happy New Year)

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

It is around 7 pm here so we still have a few more hours to go. Nevertheless, Madrid is well prepared for the last race of the year 2014… the San Silvestre Vallecana race…

It’s divided into two groups, amateurs above 16 years old and professional racers. Because the amateurs run first, all the traffic is already cut and I took me three times more time to get home than any other day

It was pointed out to me today that 2015 will be a geek year because

2015 = 1024 + 512 + 256 + 128 + 64 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1

Also it will host the infamous PI day!

Funny you mention that, @RyanReese
Today I was thinking about the change in year and, on a whim, threw together this little bit of Ruby code.
I thought you, as a fellow-Rubyist, would appreciate it.

It’s weird actually seeing a Ruby program I can understand!

That’s neat code.

One of my absolute favorite constructs in Ruby is the unless clause. And I tend to overuse it.
But, it “feels” so natural to say “This should happen UNLESS something is not so” as opposed to wrapping it all in a clumsy if | else | end sort of structure.

I also overuse the ternary operation in many other languages

Here we go!
Happy New Year!

Little under 6 hours for us east coasters…*twiddle thumb *

I still have 5 3/4 hours to go.

I saw part of the Sydney and Auckland fireworks displays on the noon news broadcast !

It would be interesting to see the march around the globe from space.

3 hours 44 minutes left in 2014 here in Ohio…

Happy new year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I saw the London fireworks on tv, it looked quite crowded there, will have to look later for the New York crystal ball

It was 12:15 before I realized it was the new year…whooops.

Pretty great from where I sit, but you’d have to ask @HAWK, she’s even further out into the future in NZ!

It’s looking pretty magic here.
