Handling defaults?

How is everyone handling defaults? I find it tedious to always be logging into various websites and changing default codes left and right – especially when some of the sites are slow or have a bad user interface.

I’m thinking doing this but not sure if it makes sense. Each of our networks default to HTML file on our website.

So our first network defaults to default1.html on our site. Within default1.html is the code for network #2. network #2 defaults to default2.html on our site… Within default2.html is the code for network #3… and so forth.

Does this make sense to do? That way we’re only changing codes on our website and in one location.

Thoughts?

I don’t really understand what you’re trying to do here…

How often do you actually login to rearrange your defaults? I shake mine up a little about once every 3 months unless I notice a problem prior to that and make changes as needed - not a massive effort.

What would having these html files allow you to do that logging in and altering the html would not? You would still have to login to rearrange any default orders, you would just be pasting the javascript into html files on your server rather than into each of the ad networks. Or am I completely missing something here?

No, you’re right. Not sure what I was thinking as it doesn’t really make sense.

Good thing it’s now the weekend and time for a drink… it’s been a long week.

Designate your default on your top-paying network to your second-best-paying network. Designate the default on your second-best-paying network to your third-best-paying network. And, so on. Then, you’d rarely have to manage them.
