It will be a bit ragged so please consider it under development
Originally, it was just the 6 image/nav panels. I have recently added a div for some text because I thought that it might not be such a good thing for SEO as it has very limited or minimal content. I feel that the page looks a bit prettier without the addtional text box and my question is whether the pay-off of added text is worth it if you think about a design/SEO ratio.
So to ask a different way, I am not concerned whether people like the design but more whether adding the text is worth it in order to get some keyword rich content in there?
Oh I’m trying to explain myself and not sound rude so, I think I leave it there!
Thank you.
Martin
PS: If you think that it’s dog-ugly with or without the text box, I’m gonna be upset so, just say it and leave!
PPS: The footer will get used but I’m still negotiating what to do with that (see, under development).
I’d say you don’t need to worry about making your home page SEO friendly, as long as your other pages are. For example, somebody searching for “children’s therapy” is going to be more interested in that page than your home page anyway, so if that’s the one that comes up highest in the SERPs, you’ve won a watch.
I may be being over-cautious but believe it or not, the competition for therapy/counselling/psychotherapy is pretty hot in Brighton! Personally, I don’t know why they just don’t all go down the pub but for now, even on a very local level, I am just trying really hard with the whold Content is King/Queen thing!
Anyway, thanks again, and maybe I’ll stop worrying about this and eliminate that extra panel.
