Google traffic boost after site update

Hello,

I have recently updated my site with new content (store). The site got a few thousand subpages and started getting quite a lot of long-tail traffic after the update - when google indexed subpages.

The traffic boost was approx 10 times (from 30 visits per day to 300-350) but now 1,5 week after the update the site remains getting same amount of traffic as in the beginning.

I know about google behavior called google dance, which occures when site updates, but I’m not sure if thats it and why / how is that happening?

Do the new subpages have higher rank after they’re created // indexed by first time?

How can I maintain the same amount of traffic beside link building (for all keywords - especially long-tail)?

Why // how is that happening?

Thanks a lot for help

I think your keyword has been dropped and lost the position. You need to continue the efforts for maintaining the position and traffic by doing various off page activities. You can also try SMO as it brings lots of real time traffic

From time to time you could do a paid sponsorship thing on the results page. I would think that this is very effective. Every time I can’t find what I’m looking for within the first page of organic results, I look to the side where all the paid ads are.

traffic is very important to a website. No traffic no earnings

You can add new fresh contents to your site and keep building backlinks to your site. A few high PR backlinks will be nice and will increase your ranking in search engines.

Think your keywords have lost ranking on Search engine result pages. you have to keep concentrate on off page promotion.

It sounds like maybe you’re not fond of creating backlinks, but I think that everyone else is probably right. It sounds like your keywords have lost their rank. Content might be king, but it only rules about 30% of it’s kingdom. Your off-page seo makes up the rest.

New pages do get a better consideration by google. Google may have found your new page appropriate for the keyword, but after a few days google may have found your content somewhere else.
