I just wanted to know if the google search results depend on geographical location where the content is created. I mean content created in US has more significance than that created somewhere else?

Nah.
Where your content is created has no significance (you could outsource to India, for e.g.). I’ve heard people say that server location has an impact on regional searches - is that what you mean? If you’re trying to target regonal searches then it’s also rumoured that where your links originate from also has an influence.
Google has no idea where your content was created. They only look at the actual content. So, if you are writing some content location specific, it doesn’t matter where it’s actually written. Hope this helps!
Geo-targeting affects the search engine rankings yes but what Google are doing is trying to return pages for a search that are useful to a searcher.
For example, if I search for ‘cheap hairdresser’ in Manchester UK, it’s not much use to me if Google returns pages from all over the world, I’m clearly not going to travel abroad to get my haircut. So they’ll try to figure out which hairdressers are near me and they’ll do that by looking at on-page factors like addresses, where the site is hosted, whether or not it has a .co.uk domain (not reliable on it’s own) who is linking to it etc etc a whole bunch of stuff.
