Google maps default marker

Hi all,

Here’s one that has me thinking. Our client has 2 address’s, one is a warehouse the other is the retail shop. When entering the name of the business in the search field it displays the website for the retail shop, but the Google map shows the marker for the wholesale address. (This happens at the search results page not the website itself)

I know i can control which marker is displayed using an embedded map in the site, but is it possible to define a default marker a the search results area?

My guess is no, but i would like any info

Can I just clarify …

Are you talking about creating a custom map in My Places? Or are you concerned with the map that shows up in Google search results when you search for a place?
