When ever I buy a domain I usually build a Google gadget, module and mini-apps for the domain. They show up in a Google search in a few hours when you search for the domain. Its a fast boost to get your domain on the internet instead of waiting for your website to be indexed. My portfolio is around 200 domains. I do not have web sites for all of them. Some of them are just parked.
Good one! I have a Junk ‘Blogger’ account for that too. I find a bit of copyright free text thats relevant, link to the index page or a couple of internal pages if index is already listed from the article- publish it and immediately go to http://pingomatic.com and ping everything. With that and http://www.freeadvertising0.com I find it indexes in a few hours and traffic arrives pretty quick.
