Google Apps - Need More Storage Space!

Hey fellas,

I’m sorta new over on this side of the forum so sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong category.

I’m trying to get one of my clients switched over to Google Apps for a variety of reasons. The problem is that one of the users has about 30gb worth of email storage that he’d like to keep around. Even if we upgrade the Apps account to the Premier version, he’s only going to get 25gb. Does anyone know if we can purchase additional space for just this one user?

I thought about creating a user for him on Google Apps Standard and then registering that email address as a Google Account. The thought is that I could upgrade the storage on that particular Google Account but it looks like this storage meter isn’t going to flow back to Google Apps, rather it’ll only pertain to his other Google Account services such as Picasa.

I can’t be the only one out there having this problem. Surely someone has conquered this issue in the past.

Thanks!
Jeff

Looks like it’s “coming soon” but not something you can do yet

Thanks Dan. Regardless it looks like I’ll need to upgrade to Premier so I can add additional storage space.

I know this seems a bit wonky, but I wonder if I could create the user with Google Apps and then have everything forwarded to a standard Gmail account. The user connects with Entourage. If I could somehow still send mail via Google Apps that would be fine because all new incoming mail would be dumped into Gmail. The only thing left to do is to get the sent messages in Google Apps transferred over to Gmail.

The key behind this crazy idea is that I can upgrade the Gmail account storage very easily.
