Can anybody help me out to understand this.
One my Volusion client using SmarterStats & I preferred Analytics (So we used both). Now, please see the following scenario of last 7 days.
SmarterStats showing 5 Visits from Google.com
Analytics showing 92 visits from Google.com (Organic of-course).
After research, I understand that reporting discrepancies due to Log based and script based analytics fundamentals. However I am not able to understand few things:
I am in dilemma because i think SmarterStats must show more visits from Google compare to analytics as it’s calculating spiders/bots as well? Please share your view and help me to find logic so I can not feel dumb anymore.
