Gift suggestion

I went to China last yearfor business purpose. And as you know they usually have girls as translators. They treated me very good. I am going again and want to give something to boss and the translators (different companies). What should I give to boss(male and female both) and translators(male and female both). I became like friends with translators and therefore need gifts suggestions accordingly.

Perhaps something handmade from your country is a good bet. Possibly foreign cigarettes or wine but I doubt you drink and they might not smoke. If you know of any good quality chocolate in Pakistan you could bring that with you assuming it would keep. Perhaps a red silk scalf would impress the ladies.

Thanks.
Its useful idea. Kindly let me know if you think of any other likely stuff.

Well, if you were canny and keep in contact with them you could get one or more of them to tell you what they would suggest to give to the “other person” - if they were in your shoes.

The Chinese use a lot of cultural symbolism and superstition in gifts so they might have a better clue than either; you or I. For example ask the Translators what they’d possibly give or suggest for the Bosses and vice versa.

I think a present should be something the person would never buy for themselves. Also maybe something which is difficult to obtain in their own country. Upon reflection that is becoming increasingly difficult because just about everything seems to be made in China.

Buy a rare gift which can only be found on your country. Antiques or those crafted items would be a good suggestion.
