Getting PHP COM() to work on Windows 2008 server

Hi Guys! Im trying to get PHP COM to work on a windows 2008 server, but I just get 500 Internal server error each time. The PHP script I am using is below.

<?php
$word = new COM("word.application") or die ("Could not initialise MS Word object.");
echo "Loaded Word, version {$word->Version}\
";
?>

This syntax is definitely correct, I obtained it from the PHP manual. I’ve read on other forums that PHP might not have permissions to access the word application. How can I check the permissions for this?

This might sound like a stupid question, but do you actually have word installed?

Yes, I have word 2007 installed :slight_smile:
