Scopes.
That is the scopes section. The scopes section is not what you were told to use. It is the Call stack section that you were told to use instead.
Click on index 290?
No, and Iāll have to go soon, so stop mucking about.
What am I supposed to do in call stack?
Does the callstack show that itās paused on breakpoint ?
What do you mean, show that itās paused?
YES!!!
I doā¦
At the bottom of the Call Stack section and just above the Scopes heading, you should see ā¦ Good, you do.
Click on the handler thatās shown there, and itāll take you to where it called the hideInitialOverlay() function.
Hover on button and youāll see that itās undefined.
Hover on evt.target and Firefox makes it hard for you to find out what the target is, so you can use the console instead to find that out.
At the very bottom of the screen should be a console entry line, with >>
shown at the left. Click there, and you can type in JavaScript commands. In this case, type in:
evt.target
to find out what that target element is.
I lost you here:
Hover on evt.target and Firefox makes it hard for you to find out what the target is, so you can use the console instead to find that out.
That part:
Is good? Is bad? Iām getting lunch.
Iāll wait cause I donāt understand what youāre asking me to do here.
So, Iāll have to redo all the steps when you get back.
Lunch is in hand. Once youāve clicked on the handler in the call stack, we can progress further from there.
Itās likely to be 36 hours before I can return, so youād better hurry up now if you want to make further progress with this now.
I will be leaving at half past the hour, which gives us something like 25 minutes with which to make further progress.
Let me know when youāve clicked on the handler in the call stack, we can progress further from there.
Somebody else will have to carry on with this while Iām away, and if they donāt, Iāll be back in 36 hours (maybe 35), weāll see.
