Gap between lists

I am creating a vertical accordian menu, having a problem because of a gap between ul’s

<ul class="menuVertical" id="Sample1">
	<a>Sample1</a>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
</ul>
<ul class="menuVertical" id="Sample2">
	<a>Sample2</a>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
	<li>Content</li>
</ul>

Can anyone help me out here?

Well, you didn’t include any CSS so it’s a bit hard to say.

I’d recommend applying the following CSS based on your post:

ul.menuVertical {
  padding:0;
  margin:0;
}

That should remove any default “gaps” between the lists.

In the future I’d recommend using a CSS Reset as it may help to eliminate these types of issues. Eric Meyer has a fairly popular CSS Reset that I use a derivative of in which you may want to look into.

Also, in future threads that you make requesting help I suggest that you use a more detailed approach. It’s important to do your best to include any details, links, code, thoughts, etc. that may help us to help you. You can me read on this at “How To Ask Questions The Smart Way.” If you reply with the inclusion of the CSS, the specific browser you are seeing these “gaps” in and possibly even a link to the live page we may be able to better assist you with a more specific solution.

No problem.

I don’t know what chaff you’d be referring to, but all it really did is make me have to guess what the issue might be rather than know.

You may not have even gotten an answer had I not been kind enough to take the time. I’d suggest reconsidering your approach.

None the less, glad I could help.

Hey, thanks! That did it exactly. Yeah, I have posted on a lot of forums… I figured posting it this way would cut out the chaff, and it did. Thx again.
