Fronteers 2011 conference

The tickets have now begun being sold for the Fronteers 2011 Front-end web developers conference.

This year will be held in the same place as last year: the theatre Tuschinski in Amsterdam on Thursday 6 October and Friday 7 October.

Early bird tickets are 275 euros.

There are already some early-committed speakers: Alex Russel, Bruce Lawson, Chris Heilmann, Derek Featherstone, Lea Verou and Tab Atkins Jr (ok, I thought that one was a country singer… sue me).

Compared to some of the other conferences around: PHPNW, Mobilism, SXSW, FrontEnd… this one’s cheap. And has the same (and same calibre) speakers.

Yes, it’s just comparing prices for various front-end conferences and whether the beers are included or not : )

At Fronteers, there’s free beer, while at YAPC (the Perl conference), beers are (mostly) to be paid.
Though the night before, one of the sponsors paid for everyone to have one free beer (CPANEL). Cool.

Errr … what’s that about beers? I mean, what does this spreadsheet show? How much you spend in each of these conferences (including lunch and beers)?

We wuz discussin prices for front-end related conferences…

so far they came up with this
(google docs thingie)

Average total price of european front-end conference in euros exl VAT was E462 or E221 per day.

Lea Verou’s comments about various conferences she’s been to recently… including Fronteers2011!
