Fresh Content

I think you’re missing @jeffreylees point here. Yes, in your example, you need people to perform an additional action on the site, and a high bounce rate shows they have not, which is not desirable for that particular example. In the example Jeff gave, the goal is to have people find information and then telephone an enquiry. If they find the information they need on the landing page, they have no need to interact with the site, so in that example, a high bounce rate is no indication of anything.

The point here is that different sites, and different types of site, have different criteria. You can’t make a sweeping statement which assumes all sites are equal in this respect.

However, we are now drifting away from the subject of this discussion, which is the importance of fresh content.

According to the google Content main impact on seo. bcoz Google is Love Content. Fresh Content With Keywords Density Will help you to gain rank on target keywords. If you are using the duplicate content on website then you will not get position on search engine.

I guess that there is a dilemma…wich is more important - to have fresh and quality content vs. to have 10x content (Rand Fishkin term to describe super amazing content:laughing:)??? I visited many blogs with three to four posts per month and these are heavy visited. I think that Google managed to think the same as an average user, hence the quality is way more important than the posting frequency.
On the other hand, it is not safe to post three times per year and expect huge traffic
