I could not find it anywhere online so I was thinking submission counter but not sure and if it is, how to implement.

I don’t understand what this means. Does this mean that an email is not sent to you every time a form is submitted?
What do you mean by “registered as being submitted”? Are you storing somewhere each submission event?
Can you post a use case?
I asked the wrong question and understood our department wrong. All I need I believe is a tracking pixel. Basically, if you get 10 formmail sibmission in your inbox, you should have 10 visits on that form success page either by pixel or google analytics.
