I have had a request to design a flash piece for a screen saver and I have never done this before. Quick look in google has lead me to believe that a lot of software companies are trying to sell this feature. Just wandering if anyone has done this before, what I should be aware of and if there is any free or worth paying for software I should use for this.
I dont think is a better solution, but still is a solution: export your fla (from Adobe flash as .exe) and then use a vb script or something to play it.

Do people even use screen-savers anymore? They were massive back when screen burning used to be an issue and they were huge during the 90’s when it was fashionable but very few people I know use them these days (they just have the monitor turn off when it’s not in use as it’s more eco friendly and uses less electricity). As for specific products, I use the Icon / Cursor tools these guys produced and their awesome, they have a screen-saver tool too so I guess it’s pretty good (they offer a free trial of the program so it might be worth giving it a whirl to see how it performs): http://www.axialis.com/ssp/
