Firefox 4 problem

Since this thread is about browsers, may I ask you guys for a little help?
I used to run Firefox 3.5 as my browser for a long time. But by accident, or I guess for some strange reasons, my browser updated on its own to firefox 4. At first it was ok but shortly after, I get errors all the time. When I open multiple tabs like 4 tabs, firefox shuts down with this message:

“firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience”

I get this message every time I try to open more than a single tab. I did not encounter this problem when I was using firefox 3.5.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall firefox 4 a couple times but I still get the same problem. I even downloaded registry cleaner but nothing happened.

At the moment I am using chrome but I’d love to work using firefox 4. I’m more comfortable with it if not for that problem.

Anyways, I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to fix this problem so I can start using firefox 4 again.

Yeah me too facing this problem, some time it hangs down too and some time it crashes and need to restart this again. This problem is in new Mozilla Firefox 4 but not in 3.7.
Its better to change your Firefox version or try another browser like Chrome.

My notebook is old. I use firefox4 that make it hang often time.

Anybody else out there who could help me with this problem? I just want to keep using my firefox 4 without any problems. I’ve been chrome lately but I’m not very comfortable with it. I guess firefox 4 just became a part of me since I’ve been using it since the first time came out.

my system stuck when i open firefox 4,and after few seconds all thing goes normal. i have core 2 duo, 1 gb ram…
but firefox is resource hungry i guess!!

Firefox 4 seems very problem. I checked my task manager and noticed that Firefox 4 consume high resources. My laptop always in high CPU and RAM consumption and Firefox 4 contributed the cause!

It did not happen when it is at 3.x version. There are similar thread about Firefox where Firefox 5 is released. I wondered is that because they found the issue and tried to solve it?

I am using 3 browsers at the moment to evenly spread my laptop resources.

try to download the full version or update again

Try firefox 5, 4 was a bit short lived.

Well, I’ve just installed firefox 5 a while back and still got the same problem. It also seemed that it has very little difference with firefox 4. WHY AM I GETTING THIS “CRASH REPORT” ALL THE TIME STILL!

I had the same problem,but I fix it after one day with the help of internet I see a bet solution then I use this method also fixes a lot of common computer errors, I think you should try it, you only need 3 steps to fix firefox.exe error:

These are 3 step to repair firefox.exe error

1: Download a firefox.exe error repair tool and install it.
2: Open firefox.exe error repair tool and scan you computer for free.
3: Click fix button and you done.

I’m not completely happy with Chrome, I don’t like the direction Mozilla took firefox after 3.6, I decided to stick with 3.6 unless absolutely necessary, which I don’t foresee for a long time, a browser is a browser how much can you possibly change ? Make the buttons vertical, make the text wiggle, make the icons say my name ? After a while the whole business modo of having to release a new version every 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 6 months with some software, becomes over the top.
