File /etc/skel.bashrc does not exist?

When running a sed command to change the default PS1 in .bashrc it keeps telling me the file doesn’t exist
but it looks like it’s right there…
is it because it’s a hidden file?

# customize TTY prompt
sed -i 's/…/…/' /etc/skel.bashrc

I’ve tried variants of…

etc/skel.bashrc
etc/skel/.bashrc
/etc/skel.bashrc
/etc/skel/.bashrc

but it looks like it’s right there…

Your screenshot does not show skel.bashrc it shows /etc/skel/.bashrc.
