Looking at my Resource monitor on a Windows 2008 R2 Server running IIS 7 I find regularly a lot of processes such as conhost.exe rrdtool.exe winlogon.exe or LogonUI.exe. I installed Syspeace to fend off attack but I am wondering if there is anything else I can do because all those processes added to the syspeace CPU usage make the overall CPU usage very high and sometimes hitting the 100% mark
J-L,
Wyatt (wwb99) is the local M$ expert here but, using a bit of Apache knowledge, Apache’s httpd.conf establishes the number of “child processes” of Apache that it will allow (and maintain?) to await additional requests. I suspect that IIS copies that feature so I would advise that you check your IIS configuration file for something similar while waiting for Wyatt to appear.
