We host our own ecommerce unix based site, however, recently our T1 connection went down and we had no failover in place. Does anyone have best case scenarios for failover protection? From DNS to Co location, short term and long?

Thank you

I’ve worked with several businesses who rely 100% on their websites for sales who were in the same position as you. Running their website on their own in house servers on their own T1 or even DSL connection. I promptly consulted with them to have their important assets moved to servers located inside our data centers (at outside of Washington, DC) so they can achieve 100% uptime and have Internet carrier redundancy so there isn’t a single point of failure (such as the T1). <snip/>
