Fading in BG has stopped working and I'm having problems figuring out why

Hello there everyone!

Years ago, I wrote a page with your collective assistance that had a bg image that faded in, centered on the page. I grabbed it from some backups and am having a problem figuring out why it’s no longer working. I do see the normal culprits in the validator for bootstrap but that’s always been present but the page worked without issue.

Can anyone tell me why it’s no longer fading in the image?

Thanks for your time!

You have a permissions issue on your image7.png file, which is your background…

It’s reported as image4 on my machine :slight_smile:

Note that the background fade is set at 0.9 which means that the white overlay will cover most of the image and will still be hard to see.

@keyframes fadeIn {
  0% {
    background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1);
  100% {
    background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.9);

You folks are amazing. It seems moving my files over from my Windows backups to my linux server caused a permissions issue on the images only.

Can I ask a follow up question? I am not savvy with the browser inspector(I use Firefox). To get to these errors, what would I click after opening the inspector following the page load?

After going into the inspector, you would need to go into the console. This is where it would have been (I see you’ve fixed the permissions issue)
