Facebook not grabbing og:image

Hi there everyone!

Following Facebook’s informational page, I have implemented the suggested meta tags for sharing media on the site I’m building.

The issue that I’m having is that although I’m instructing FB to use a particular image and I’ve sized it as suggested(600x315), when I click the share button on the page, it’s showing a cropped version of the site image.

I will mention that Google + is retrieving the image correctly.

Here’s an example page on the site.

On that page, the meta tag looks like this:

<meta property='og:image' content='http://schw.im/images/links/283-1414180845.png'/>

The image exists and is publicly viewable, but when I share the article, I don’t see it.

I’ve googled a lot and the people I found having a problem of this sort(and it’s a lot) don’t seem to ever find a solution. A few have responded “Nvm, it’s working now” while the majority remain unsolved.

Could someone help me figure out how to get this operational?

Thanks for your time!

Last time I had this problem, I needed to run the site through Facebook’s Debugger tool. It seems Facebook caches the past thumbnails, and the debugger makes Facebook re-check the website for the updated one.

its about caching, have the link reindexed in webmaster tools then share it in google + then share it in facebook
if that doesnt work remove the page and share the link until it shows an empty page in facebook, reindex again and then reshare

what this does is to help google reindex ur page

Thank you both for all your help. I did eventually figure out that it was caching the data but never ran into the debugger tool. That’s awfully nifty.

Thanks again!
