Expression Web Problem

When I create a site in Expression Web, it adds this folder called _vti_cnf. I’ve heard that these are files that are useful if you are using Windows hosting, but they are annoying and when I upload theme .zip files to WordPress that contain these _vti_cnf files in them, it messes up the editor in the WordPress admin. Does anyone know of a setting inside of Expression Web to make it stop creating these?

ouch! that doesn’t sound like a good thing

Thanks so much. I actually stopped using EW because I had the “great privileged” of replicating a bug that strips your file of their PHP code. :injured: Anyway, I’m back to Dreamweaver for all my WordPress stuff.

go to site settings -> general. and untick the box saying: “manage website using hidden metadata files”

it’s the setting for dynamic web templates (DWT) and it’s turned on automatically when you create a new site.
