EU cookie law if UK leaves the EU

Does anyone know if the UK leaves the EU whether there will be no law in place that will continue to require the stupid message about cookies on websites.

For those not in the EU this explains it https://www.cookielaw.org/about-this-message/

I personally think it was a job creation scheme as it pretty much did nothing but create work.

It’s going to take years for the UK to extricate itself from the EU. I’m not sure this law is very high on the government’s agenda just yet…

I don’t think it will change. If your website is visible in the EU, you’ll still need to comply with their laws, and especially so if you are trading into the EU in any way.
