/etc/sysconfig/iptables change - in case revert back

I want set Firewall settings in my VPS…

If copy [in CentOS 6.7 VPS]
/etc/sysconfig/iptables
can revert to this if sthg error in my try change iptables configuration.
how can revert back in case?

Db server(same VPS) port is internal communication so,… Not needed give access in iptables?

How set a rule for protocol ssl (https://) in iptables permitted access? I must do so Only and Only if I have SSL Cert?
