My employer has blocked Internet acces to certain websites (like Facebook, IMDB, etc.). But I was wondering if there isn’t an easy why to bypass this.
Let’s say I build a PHP website that allows me to enter an URL in a form, then when I press enter let my website fetch the contents of the URL and display it on screen. Won’t this solve my problem and bypass the block? I haven’t tested it yet but I think it should work. Or won’t it work?
It’s not illegal, but circumventing company policies is insubordination and grounds for dismissal pretty much anywhere. You’re asking us for instructions on getting fired

I don’t want to do nothing illegal. Sometimes I want to check what date and time I have my salsa lessons but this website is also blocked by my employer.
Is it possible? Yes. The process is called tunneling, and you don’t even need PHP to do it (do a search on site tunneling).
Is it wise? No.
Exactly, so don’t circumvent the system… if you have a cellphone with Internet access (most do these days) you could use that to search
