Not sure what happened (virus, software removal ??) but I am getting an error message whenever I try to click through to a link in Outlook.
“This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact yoru system administrator.”
Anyone have any advice please?
Firewall settings possibly, or word censor mail filter in action against inappropriate content at the other end of the link.
Thanks xhtml. Any idea of how I can set it back to get the links working again?
Talk to your system administrator, or IT guy/gal. They’ll sort you out.
I don’t use Outlook so I don’t know but they’ll probably be a Tools menu and Options and E-mail, Junk E-mail option. It still sounds like the program thinks those links lead to content of dubious nature so it is preventing you clicking them.
Hey phanie!
You might wanna check this Microsoft Support link out: You receive an error message when you click a hyperlink in Outlook it seems to be something associated with IE & the registry. They have a tool you can download which might be worth a shot or instructions to DIY either if you’re feeling lucky! :goof:
Goodluck! Keep us posted!

Do you use administrator’s account to log in.If not then try to use it and if you yet have any problem then go to control panel, click on user name and go in restricted area and make your account in admin group.
