I just got the same email today. Form Daniel@sitpoint. Followed directions and signed up for bitbucket. Took a screen shot and replied to the email (bitbucket@sitepoint.com). So far no response back

Hi, can I confirm if the Atlassian/bitbucket offer of 1 year free membership to sitepoint content is still valid. I just received an email invitation signed off by Daniel and am wondering if its a phising email. Thanks for your time and trouble.

We aren’t aware of any phishing attempts, but it’s probably in your best interest to exercise caution regardless.

Thanks for the quick response. I managed to find the voucher in the end - I’ve learnt that Mac Mail’s search isn’t as good as Gmail’s search!
