Hi

A daft question but here goes…

I have run a query in sql view in access2007 and returns the recordset that i requested. I would like to be able to edit the records that have been selected from the query but when i press a key nothing happens.

I know i can do an update query but it is not practical for what i want to do.

Is there any way i could edit the records i have pulled from the select query or is the only option to open the entire table and make my edits there?

Usually you cannot edit the query results because there is an element of the query that cannot be changed, for example left(field, 8), or because you are doing joins and the query cannot resolve to a unique record.
