Ecommerce Script - Easy To Customise

I am looking for suggestions for an ecommerce script that is easy to customise look wise, ideally xhtml / css and easy to bring a design into in a non designer manner.

Can skin Modx etc so have some idea.

Features Required
Accepts £
Allows for Uk Payment Gateways (Paypal, Nochex, Worldpay, Sagepay, HSBC etc)
Newsletter would be good
Easy to use.

Looking for Opensource or Reasonable fee Sub $100

I have tried searching but probably being ineffective with keywords

Oscommerce is great and opensource; with a ton of addons. It’s built-in to Fantastico in cPanel so it’s a one click install if you do it that way.

I’ve used a oscommerce fork before creloaded, and that was fairly easy to use and come fully loaded with loads of modules.

So does anyone know of any other forks worth a look but my concern is how easy they are to skin/template and also to populate with content.

As above guys said, yes OSC is a good opensource solution. I’ve also worked a lot with Osc and found it easy to use but I personally think you should go for Joomla’s Virtuemart. It’s lot more easier and easy to use/manage then Osc.

Speaking of free solutions, I’d also add ZenCart and PrestaShop to your list of comparison. You may try them yourself and choose the one you like the most. Also, I’d highly recommend using shopping-cart-reviews.com for reference, it is a great resource with shopping cart ratings and feature-based solution search.
