I am developing a ecommerce site I have many categories and sub-categories should i use drop down menu.
If I use drop down menu is it bad or good
hmmm… drop down menus are somewhat bad I guess… I’ve check backlinks status if my links are still there and Its kinda hard to look for the link if there are drop down menus.
I don’t feel any bad thing in Drop down menus regarding SEO ??

The search engines see the content - they don’t know that the list they are seeing is a dropdown menu rather than just an ordinary list.
No relation in drop down list with SEO ok …use it.
I guess you’re right, Google still sees the links even on drop down menus. But I mean is that, it would be somewhat difficult for the user to look for the links if they are hidden on drop down menus.
What you want to avoid is including the links for a drop down menu in javascript. That could negatively affect your SEO. It is not certain, but it is possible depending on how the javascript is structured.
