I am working in Dreamweaver 8. I would like to find out if Dreamweaver 8 has a function similar to “Format Painter” in MS Excel (the little paint brush that copies all the formatting in a given cell, or cells)? If not, are there any Dreamweaver plugins that would allow this same functionality?

Gosh, it has been so long since I used any of the WYSIWYG features of DW, but in design view, IIRC, if you copy/paste from one cell to the other doesn’t the formatting get copied also?
I guess that is not exactly like what you want, but maybe it will help?
I can’t think of a tool that does this.

There are a swag of programs that could do with a feature like Format Painter. IMO it has been one of the long standing ‘killer features’ of Word/Excel. However most uses are only really suitable for quickly applying a one-off or temporary document that you can’t be bothered either formatting or coding properly. Most of the function of the format painter should be covered by setting up styles and applying them.
I don’t know of any other program that I use that utilises a similar feature, including DW.
