Don't Know Which Law Enforcement Course / Route To Take [Edited]

Hi has anyone done a bachelor of criminology & criminology or a bachelor of arts : security,terrorism & counter terrorism???

I’m really unsure and don’t know which to choose as i dont really know which career path i want to take yet… iv heard alot of people who have done the criminology and criminology degree go into the police force which is what i’m interested in but i don’t want to be doing the regular police duties of arresting and road surveilance i want to do more specialist and non policing roles such as protective services or intelligance… the other course i’m looking at is the Security, Terrorism and Counter terrorism degree which sounds really interesting but i don’t know if job prospects are high in australia with this course…

If anyone out there has done either of these: firstly how interesting were or are they?? what sort of job prospects can i expect after graduating?? what are you looking to do are are you doing now that you have graduated?? and lastly for the police force if i want to go into more specialized area’s such as the protective custody or terrorism do i still need to do all the fitness and all the other testing??

Welcome to Site Point however I’m not sure your question is the best for this community. These forums are focused on web development, design and marketing… so while there’s certainly peripheral topics discussed, you’re not likely to find the same level of expertise on law enforcement jobs as you would on an LEO / Civil Service community.

I’ll leave the thread open with a more specific title to see if any members do happen to have experience but again, you may want to look at other areas as well to get advice.
